This installation serves as a metaphor for 'Mannahatta,' where vast forests once thrived. Composed of tree roots, soil, lush bushes, and straw, it evokes the pristine land that existed purely in nature 400 years ago.
The faintly rising mist around transports us to the past of New York, filled with the most vibrant living creature, unimaginable in our present. It reflects on how the land of New York, abundant with trees, roots, and forests, maintained a natural balance and absorbed water through wetlands.
