This project delves into the concept of emotional reverberations that extend far beyond our immediate surroundings. It explores the idea that the emotions we experience within ourselves have the power to transcend the boundaries of our physical being and become embodied in the space and nature around us. The artwork aims to capture this sense of emotional extension, conveying the speed and direction in which our feelings propagate and influence the world we inhabit.
The centerpiece of the installation is a floating sculpture that initially took the form of an island but later transformed into a human figure. This metamorphosis serves as a powerful metaphor for the way in which a person's emotional reverberations can become an integral part of the landscape, shaping and influencing the environment in ways.
A small gesture, such as a touch of the hand, is transformed into a signal that is transmitted into space. This signal then spreads through the movement of water and sand, creating ripples and patterns that symbolize the propagation of emotions. The light of the landscape responds to these interactions, illuminating the path of emotional energy as it flows through the installation. The combination of water, sand, moss, and shrubs creates a miniature ecosystem that is alive with the echoes of human sentiment, demonstrating the interconnectedness between our inner world and the natural environment.
