Watchman, a colossal sculpture shaped like a Korean marine, stands as a guardian at the coastal front of the country, creating a unique waterfront landscape. Located in a harbor that is home to the East Sea Port Terminal and the naval base, Watchman symbolizes the spirit of protection and welcome for all who visit the area.
The sculpture's presence instills a sense of security and hospitality, building an iconic experience for the region. Visitors walking along the path to the lighthouse will find Watchman's enormous footprints imprinted on the ground. These footprints add an imaginative dimension to the installation, encouraging viewers to visualize the sculpture's movements and bringing the artwork to life in their minds.
Through its impressive appearance and symbolic significance, Watchman serves as both a protector of the East Sea and a representative of the region's welcoming warm heart.
