The concept for this project originated from a deep consideration of the region's distinct natural phenomena, particularly the ethereal quality of the sea fog, known as 'Haemu'. As part of the North Port redevelopment project, the design aims to reinterpret this characteristic natural phenomenon through the creation of a canal landscape that evokes the unique emotions and sensations associated with the local environment.
The canal landscape employs dynamic elements such as water, mist, and light to create captivating visual experiences that emerge from the interplay of these natural components. As visitors navigate through the canal landscape, they are immersed in a dreamlike atmosphere where the boundaries between reality and illusion blur. The carefully orchestrated interplay of water, mist, and light creates a mesmerizing experience that transports visitors to a realm of tranquility and introspection, allowing them to escape the bustle of urban life and reconnect with nature. By harnessing the emotive potential of the region's geographical and natural features, and translating it into an immersive canal landscape, the design creates a space that invites visitors to engage with their recreated environment on the site
