The Luna

Dongtan, South Korea

2016

“The Luna” originates from the Latin word 'Luna,' which means the moon. It is a sculpture that symbolizes the myths, history, and memories associated with the moon, reflecting onto the lake. The design is elegant yet simple, utilizing steel to visualize the beauty of the structure. I design it to harmonize with the natural environment of the lake and its surroundings. The 15m water screens envelop the structure, creating a spectacular yet harmonious blend of nature and science.
